We dodged the ice and snow leaving it in our wake for you to enjoy and had clear sailing to Gatlinburg. We got there in time for our Led Zeppelin tribute band to perform in the prelim's of the talent/lip synch contest. After a rousing intro by David G., our boys performed their hearts out and did a great job. Although they did not make the final cut, everyone except the judges thought that they should have. Next year we will be in the finals! One of our archery teams was tied for first place until late in the afternoon. Climbing and flying squirrel were popular. Swimming and a stop at the arcade rounded out the festivities. We hit the dance floor both Friday and Sat. night and have decided to bring our own DJ for next year's Sat. night dance. The road south from Gatlinburg was iced in on Sunday so we had to do a long detour towards Asheville to get home but still managed to arrive at the church by about 4:00 pm. All in all, a great trip. Pictures and even a video of the trip will be available soon unless I am bribed heavily enough to destroy them.
