CREW!!
Thanks to all who came our to participate in our annual MLK Day of Service. The weather was overcast and mild with an occasional spritzer (sp?) of a light, slight shower to keep us cooled off. We worked again at the historical Brooklyn Cemetery behind Clarke Middle School. We attacked with loppers, saws, and pruning snips. It was great to see how much better it looked from when we were working last year and to see the phenomenal progress today. The cemetery dates back, I think, to the 1820's and it is terrific to be a part of its restoration. Thanks to Paul M., Lily, Nisha, Kenzie, Sameer, Sam, and Charles for all the hard work. Kudos to Sameer for the carnage of the day award. Really sweet when you can take a small branch and turn it into such a bloody face. We even got to catch up a little with long lost Gus and Connelly. Besides our group, there must have been forty or fifty people working and you could really tell the difference. Hopefully Lily can help with some pics to post on the web site. Lets do another project soon.
